Why do you have the need to judge with your signs?
Do you even know why I am here?
Am I here just because I do not want the responsibility to be a mom?
Am I here because I am not in the right place in my life where I can take care of a child?

Holes for Ears
I live in fear,
because I was torn ear to ear.
Or rather my ears were torn off,
after being repeatedly told off.
Or maybe I was told, "I'm off."
It's hard to remember and hard to know,
because I can never hear again.
Unless my ears regrow.
But the holes that are left
left better access to my brain.
Hopefully by seeing straight in there,
I can better diagnose the pain.
But instead I think I see just mush,
thoughts and firing and lots of stuff.
But I don't see love, I don't see sane.
I just see stuff you call my brain.
I wish I could still hear,
but I can still see your smile.
And if they tear out my eyes,
you'll still be smi

Sleep's strong arms grasp me
Pulling me under its serene surface
Rippling the lake of fantasy
I emerge on the other side
Familiarity of secret desires warming me
False sense of safety securing me
Here I can adventure, take risk
Or simply relax with those that are dear
I feel feelings real life rarely offers
Such as joy, admiration, bliss,
No worries of what others think
What might harm me
What will betray me
Freeing spaces and cozy corners
Heal the mind from reality
Heal the soul from cruelty
And others wonder why
I occupy my spare time
On a mattress
